Sidney was an Officers Steward 1st Class 363107 in the Royal Navy. 

 

He was born 4th Dec 1888 in Westminster, London. Sidney was married to Edith Crabbe nee Rudd of 55 Chapel Lane Felixstowe.  He had 2 sisters and a brother.

He was serving on HMS Tirade during the war, he died 30/07/1918 age 30, after falling overboard.   He is buried at Edinburgh (Seafield) Cemetery. Father to Sydney Percy b. 1910 & Phyllis b. 1912.  Appears to have spent his childhood in the care of guardians, in the workhouse at least once & joined the Navy at 16.
