Gunner 909421, 67 Medium Regiment, Royal Artillery. Died 14/11/1942. Age 22.

 

Born in Framlingham in 1920, the youngest of six sons of William Gray and Eliza Caroline nee Sparrow. By 1939 the family had moved to 60 Constable Road, Felixstowe with William working as a council labourer.

 

Died when the SS Scillin was sunk off Tunisia. Commemorated on the Alamein Memorial
