Aircraftman 2nd Class 1295462, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Died 17/01/1942. Age 21.

Gordon was born in Mildenhall on the 16th January 1921, the youngest of six children of John William Carpenter & Julia nee Butcher. In 1939 the family were living at 4 Gulpher Cottages, Walton with John working as a farm labourer, he sadly died the following year. At the time of Gordon's death his mother was living at 217 High Road, Felixstowe.
