Trooper 7932316, 12th Royal Tank Regiment, Royal Armoured Corps. Died 06/05/1943. Age 34.

 

Born 28th December 1908 in Ipswich, eldest of four children of David Thomas Woods and Gertrude Minnie nee Rush. In 1934 David married Vera Rosemary Cox, their daughter Margaret was born in 1936. In 1939 the family were living with Vera's widowed father at 221 High Street, Walton. 

 

Trooper Woods was killed in action 6th May 1943 and is buried at Massicault War Cemetery.
