Corporal 45652, 11th Battalion, Essex Regiment. Died 16/09/1918. Age 22.

 

One of nine children of Edward Samuel Parker and Alice Eliza nee Bird of West Thurrock, Essex. Husband of Mabel Edith Balls  of 322 High Street, Walton, Felixstowe. His daughter Kathleen Alice was born 23 July 1918, less than 2 months before her father's death.

 

The 11th Battalion were clearing Holnon Wood on 16th September 1918 in preparation for the Battle of Epehy, it was at this time Clifford was killed in action. Buried at Trefcon British Cemetery, Caulaincourt
