Civilian. Died 19/11/1940. Age 50.

 

Born 13th January 1889 in Biggleswade, the second of five children of Enoch Phillips & Annie nee Mayes. In 1924 Charles married Martha Kezia Sargent and in 1939 they are living at 38 Holland Road, Felixstowe. Charles Phillips sustained an injury working at the Felixstowe Boom Defence, dying later that day at the Felixstowe Cottage Hospital. He is buried at Felixstowe Cemetery.

 

Brother Albert Edward Phillips died at Arras 23/04/1917.
