Born 16th April 1912, in Walton, the only son of Bertie Arthur Proctor and Catherine Maria nee Howes. Bertie also had a sister Kathleen b. 1915. Their father was a monumental & building stonemason. In 1937 Bertie married Florence Elsie Keable, in 1939 they were living at 52 Cornwall Road, Walton where Bertie was working as a house decorator. Their daughter Pauline was born in 1940.
Private Bertie Proctor was killed in action and is buried at Tobruk War Cemetery.
Brother in law of Eric Harry Churchman.
