Private 39535, 8th Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment. Born April 1899 in Ipswich. Died 21/10/1917 in Belgium. Resident 71 King Street Walton in 1911, father John Wade, a mineral water bottler & mother Catherine nee Wright. One of 12 children. The 8th Battalion saw action in the third Battle of Ypres. Commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial
